There are some people who spend half their lives figuring out what they’re best at, and there are some who learn it at an early age. I’m fortunate to be one of the latter. At the ripe old age of four I got my hands on my first “computer” (actually a terminal that connected to a mainframe computer at my father’s job) and I was hooked. By age 12 I was programming games and utilities on an Atari 400. By age 15 I was hacking 6502 assembler code on an Atari 800XL. Don’t worry if you don’t understand any of this. It just means that throughout most of my personal life (and virtually all of my professional life) I’ve pretty much lived and breathed computers. Truly, a renaissance geek like no other. Over the years I’ve worked on or with thousands of computers in virtually every market including graphic design, medicine, security, entertainment, publishing, audio/video and more. Although I’m skilled with a variety of operating systems, I’ve found that Apple’s Macintosh operating system is the best out there for me and as a result I’ve become an expert with it and related technologies. I've been using Macintosh computers professionally since 1986 and fixing them for almost that long. A lot of people have their “computer guy” who they call when they need help. For more years than I can count I’ve been that guy both professionally and for friends and family. Now I can be that guy for you, too!
